Biography
Dr. Kimberley Clow
received her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Western Ontarioand she joined the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in2004. Professor Clow typically teaches research based courses, as wellas Introductory Psychology.
Herprimary area of interest is in the realm of stereotypes, prejudice, anddiscrimination. Current research projects in this area look at stigmain the criminal justice system, the effects of stereotypes ondecision-making, masculinity and femininity subtypes, and stereotypesof men in nursing.
Professor Clow is particularly interested in howindividuals perceive one another, the consequences of thoseperceptions, and possible ways of altering those perceptions. Sheenjoys collaborative research with students, colleagues in the Facultyof Criminology, Justice & Policy Studies, colleagues from otherfaculties at UOIT, colleagues from other universities, and colleaguesfrom the community.
