Criminology and Justice Bridging Program
Admission Requirements
Graduates from any two- or three-year Ontario College Diploma in either Police Foundations or Law and Security Administration will be considered for admission to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology's Bachelor or Arts (Honours) Bridge program in Criminology and Justice.
General Information
Students who successfully complete all four designated bridging courses with an overall "B" average will be eligible for admission to the third year of a four-year Bachelor or Arts (Honours) degree program in Criminology and Justice at UOIT. Students may be considered for admisssion into the
main Criminology and Justice Program
Students may apply for this program for a September start date through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC). Those students seeking entry to the program in May can apply directly to the University through the Office of the Registrar. All four bridge courses will be offered in the summer semester starting in May.
Criminology and Justice bridging program - Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Program Curriculum
The Criminology and Justice bridging program consists of the following four courses:
- Quantitative Methods
- Sociological Theories of Crime
- Psychological Explanations of Criminal Behaviour
- Research Methods
